Garden Gurus film at Mt Penang Gardens
Spring in the garden is a busy, and rewarding time. Following on the success of the opening of the new event park at Mt Penang Gardens, the Nine Networks’ popular gardening program “The Garden Gurus” have been busily filming at Mt Penang Gardens.
Filming at the garden was conducted on the 24th September. The stories will air over 5 weeks, commencing Sat 31st October at 4:30pm.
A joint effort from Ramm Botanicals and Mt Penang Gardens, saw this unique garden location provide a contemporary backdrop for the shooting of five different plant segments. The drought tolerant Dam Savers range, the flamboyant Aloha Mandevilla’s as well as the world’s best Kangaroo Paw plants “Bush Gems” which are suitable for a number of garden settings and landscape solutions.
The program featured a number of the spectacular garden rooms within Mt Penang Gardens and showcased the best in Australian native plants, namely, the newly released Kangaroo Paw - Bush Pizzazz, Bush Volcano and Rampaging Roy Slaven’s very own name sake plant.
“Mt Penang Gardens are spectacular and it was a pleasure to film in such a stunning location”, said presenter and executive director Trevor Cochrane.
“We thought that we would have a difficult shoot due to the dust storm the day before, but the staff at Mt Penang ensured the garden was looking magnificent”, remarked Trevor..
“It was a pleasure to be part of this garden’s journey. We look forward to returning in the future” said Trevor.
